Anaphase ii in anaphase ii, chromosomes divide at the centromeres (like in mitosis) and the resulting chromosomes, each with one chromatid, move toward opposite poles of the cell. However, meiosis i begins with one diploid parent cell and ends with two haploid daughter cells, halving the number of chromosomes in each cell. Both produce two daughter cells from each parent cell. Prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
